What is UDJ?

Uganda Diaspora Japan (UDJ) is an umbrella association that intends to promote the well being of Ugandans in Japan, enhance engagement between Ugandans in japan and the embassy, as well as engagement between Ugandans, Japanese and well-wishers, in order to harness the diaspora's potential towards contribution to the national development agenda of Uganda.

Mission

We convene Ugandans from Japan, the diaspora, and allies of Uganda to create an ecosystem that nurtures their entrepreneurial spirit and mobilizes intellectual and financial resources toward a prosperous future for Uganda and diaspora communities.

Harnessing the collective power of the Uganda diaspora is catalyzed to drive entrepreneurship, forge partnerships, facilitate knowledge exchange, generate social impact, and foster human capital development

Message from the Chairman

Hopefully this message finds you in good health. As the Chairman of UDJ association, I would like to take a moment to reflect on a significance of unity and collaboration as we navigate the challenges and opportunities presented to us in this foreign country.  We  find ourselves in a unique position, representing our organization in a land that’s unfamiliar to most of us. The diversity of experiences , backgrounds, and expertise among us is our greatest asset, and it’s imperative that we harness this power to not only survive but thrive in our endeavors. Working together as a cohesive unit holds immense potential for our association’s growth and success . Being in a foreign country can be challenging , both professionally and personally. By fostering a supportive environment within our association, we can provide guidance, mentorship, and assistance to one another.  Together, we can navigate the complexities of this new environment, overcome obstacles, and celebrate our collective achievements. I kindly request you to join us so that we can strategies to enhance collaboration and outline plans for future endeavors. Together, let’s make our mark in this foreign land and set a shining example for others to follow. Walk Together Walk Far!

SEMINAR BY THE EMBASSY OF UGANDA IN JAPAN

A one day seminar was organized by the Embassy of the Rep of Uganda Tokyo in collaboration with UDJ to educate Ugandans about Japanese laws, and their fundamental rights and freedoms

MEETING THE AMBASSADOR

UDJ invited H.E Ambassador Betty Grace Akech Okullo to Fukuoka.
Welcomed by Fukuoka City Government, met the President of Kyushu University, various faculty heads and she appealed for increased opportunities for Ugandan students to study at the University, ended by addressing the international students community about the potentials of Uganda.

UGANDAN EXPERT IN HORTICULTURE VISITS JAPAN
